Neumarkt (Germany) and Mollis (Switzerland), 25 January 2007 - Retroactive to 1 January 2007, Pfleiderer Europoles Holding GmbH, has acquired all shares in the company Nivatec GmbH, located in Mollis, Switzerland. With this step, Pfleiderer Europoles, based in Neumarkt, Germany, systematically continues its European growth.
Nivatec is the world leader in technology for lowerable floodlight mounts for floodlight towers. Their main area of application is the illumination of aprons and taxiways at airports. Application of Nivatec lowering systems for floodlight towers – some of them up to 60 metres in height – enables appreciable reduction in maintenance costs. For cleaning the luminaires and for replacing lamps, expensive climbing of the towers, or equally expensive use of cherry-pickers, is no longer necessary: allowing significant lowering of operating costs. In addition, maintenance work can take place without interrupting airport operations. As a result of its innovative design features, Nivatec has succeeded during recent years in booking considerable growth in serving major airport-expansion projects throughout the world. From Munich to Brunei, and from Las Palmas to Doha: Nivatec is the first choice for reliable illumination of airport taxiways and aprons.
The three managing directors at Nivatec are most pleased about their new parent company. “Integration into the Europoles Group is a step toward faster growth for Nivatec,” said Nivatec managing director René Vuillemin. The international customer contacts established by the European market leader Europoles for mast, pole, and tower systems will support its new Swiss technology forge in market expansion into eastern Europe and Africa, as well as for floodlight applications at seaports and athletic facilities. For Europoles, this addition to the family will mean entry into the lucrative Arabian market with its great expansion possibilities.
The technology of lowerable mounts perfectly complements the portfolio of the traditional Bavarian company in the area of floodlighting. “Precision Swiss mechanics and masts ‘Made in Germany’ are a guarantee for customers around the world for reliable problem solutions on a one-stop-shopping basis,” as expressed happily by Europoles’ Managing Director Karl Wimmer. |
