In eight months 200 new Europoles colleagues

Sustainable human-resources policy supports the expansion of the mast and tower manufacturer

[Sept 07, 2011]

Since the beginning of 2011, Europoles has already added 200 new colleagues. With its attractive working conditions and possibilities of advancement, the manufacturer of poles, masts, and towers - with headquarters in Neumarkt, Germany - will recruit even more specialist staff for long-term commitments to the company.

With its current 1,100 staff, Europoles has doubled its work force within less than the past seven years. Since its acquisition by VTC Holding in 2004, the company has developed into a market-leading provider of full services. Sales have continued to rise without interruption, and new branch offices and plants are being opened throughout the world. In June of this year, for example, the Europoles acquisition of RMP GmbH & Co. KG - provider of systems engineering for mobile-phone mast facilities - has enabled major expansion of its service division for this segment. Corporate growth at Europoles is primarily supported by its 1,100 staff, as Managing Director Hendrik Schulz is careful to point out: "Our colleagues form the basis of our success. It is only through our keenly motivated and highly competent employees that we can reach our ambitious goals. This is why we so actively promote the personal and professional development of each and every colleague. This is a critical responsibility of our management - one that cannot be delegated."

Unique corporate culture

To ensure that new colleagues are also quickly integrated, their supervisors develop individual job-orientation programs and organize regular staff events. For young specialist colleagues, family-friendly conditions are an essential positive aspect. Actively pursued integration of all generations and ethnic cultures in a company requires an open and dynamic corporate culture. The employee Christa Kraus appreciates the corporate climate at Europoles: "I really enjoy going to work. For me, it's as though I would work every day in one big family - and that can be a lot of fun."

Chances of advancement are tempting

Human resources development at Europoles is targeted to filling management positions from its own ranks. With its extensive program of training, qualification, and ongoing development, the company promotes the enhancement of each colleague's competences - both professional as well as social and communicative. As Nicole Sude, Human Resources Director stresses, "We create framework conditions that enable the personal development and the professional success of the men and women who work for us – and that also ensure the success of Europoles. The development of our staff is individually tailored, so that each of us can also take part in planning his or her career. The essential factor here is to harmonize the perspectives of each colleague with the objectives of the company."

Staff who feels satisfied at work will stay a long time

Europoles takes very seriously the objective of putting genuine partnership into daily practice - both with its customers as well as with its staff. These efforts have borne fruit: staff fluctuation that is far below the average confirms the satisfaction of Europoles colleagues. The strength of the commitment to Europoles as a dependable employer also shows up in the fact that employees on the average stay with the company for comparably long periods of time.
